Description:
UDWR would like to drill a well and install a pump for use at the Clear Lake Wildlife Management Area. The well would be used to supply ground water to the wetland that is seeing a reduction in the spring flows.

Clear Lake Wildlife Management Area located in Clear Lake Utah. Location is South of Delta and West of Fillmore.

Project Need
Need For Project:
Clear Lake Wildlife Management Area is experiencing spring flow losses from drought and upstream well pumping. This project will help increase the amount of water at the WMA. If no additional water is used within the WMA the WMA may dry up.
Objectives:
Increase the amount of water flowing into the WMA to increase waterfowl, upland, fish and big game habitat.
Project Location/Timing Justification (Why Here? Why Now?):
The WMA could dry up and be detrimental to the wildlife in the area.

To benefit key habitat types identified in the WAP.

UDWR would work with finance to solicit bids for the well drilling and pump installation.
