Description:
The Stansbury Island Area had three fires burn on it that almost covered the entire island. The Tabby Canyon Fire that totaled 6,848 acres, the North Stansbury Fire that totaled 5,336 acres, and the Broad Canyon Fire that burned 626 acres. This area is important for wildlife and hopes of reintroducing bighorn sheep. So we are going to work to restore the habitat and try and prevent cheatgrass from coming back. We also hope to help the local private landowners and their livestock grazing.
Location:
This project is located on the entire Stansbury Island Mountain Range.
