Need For Project:
The coordinator position is needed to organize project proposals, submit them to the Habitat Council for review, and manage accounts and project activities throughout the year.
The Coordinator also reviews all Watershed Restoration Initiative Projects, selects proper funding, and creates budget change forms and monitors all expenditures.

Funds were used for salary, benefits, and current expense for the Habitat Conservation Coordinator position. The coordinator position organized project proposals, submitted them to the Habitat Council for review, and managed accounts and project activities throughout the year. The Coordinator also reviewed all Watershed Restoration Initiative Projects, selected proper funding, and coordinated budget change forms and monitored all expenditures.
Funds were also used for fiscal support for Habitat Council and Watershed Restoration Initiative Projects for managing budgets and cooperative agreements.
Funds are used for Habitat Council meetings, lunches, and field tours.
For FY24, Habitat Council was able to help fund 85 habitat projects assigning $3,364,590. All funded projects can be found on this database.
Project Narrative:
FY2023 Habitat Council Field Tour was held in the Northern region on June 28, 2023. The council visited the new Cinnamon Creek WMA and discussed parking/road improvements, camping issues, and looked at future stream restoration ideas.
