Project Need
Need For Project:
Community fisheries are an integral part of the fishing community. Old Fort Ponds are no exception to this. Old Fort Pond community fishery has been providing a great opportunity for inexperienced anglers as well as seasoned fishermen. In order to maintain a great opportunity for the community, we need to maintain a stable water source. This project will facilitate the ability to provide power for an inground well pump located near the ponds. The additional water supply will help our efforts to maintain a stable water level throughout the season.
Objectives:
Provide additional water source by the installation of electrical power to an onsite well pump. Installation includes the addition of a power pole to be located on the street side of the Old Fort Ponds. The installation of a service pole and mast with 100 amp meter, 100 amp panel, and 20 amp feed to the water well pump enclosure.
Project Location/Timing Justification (Why Here? Why Now?):
The project will be on site at the Old Fort Ponds community fishery located at 2404 North 3250 West, Vernal. 84078. The completion of this project will be in mid to late summer depending on proposal approval, procurement of materials, and necessary permits and inspections have been completed. This project will facilitate power to bring needed water supply to the ponds to maintain a stable water table throughout the season.
