Riparian plants were installed and noxious weed abatement was conducted in the riparian areas along the Weber River in Ogden in the Trackline project area. The city installed an irrigation system to keep plants alive and the adjacent land owner is working with the city to maintain the plants into the future. More river and riparian improvements are planned for the next 3-5 years in this corridor. Work was completed in the polygon in the existing database, so no additional shape file has been created.

Project Narrative
Riparian improvements at the Track Line property on the Weber River were completed in an area that has been cleaned up in the last several years. The riparian preservation corridor encompasses lands along the Weber River that were previously used as a livestock auction yard. Based on the available funding, the 32nd Street Weber River Restoration bluehead sucker backwaters had to be scaled back and will be implemented in fiscal year 2019. Additional funds have been acquired to conduct more river and riparian improvements and several funders have joined the stakeholder group.

Future Management
Ogden City and the adjacent land owner are maintaining the riparian corridor through active irrigation for 2-3 years and will also conduct noxious weed treatments in the areas adjacent to the riparian improvements. Further restoration actions will be conducted in adjacent riparian areas and along the river corridor and all improvements will be managed and maintained by Ogden City in the future.
