Final Methods
Remove nearly 900 dump truck loads of silt from the pond itself. Clean original sediment retention pond and create a second one. Place 40 tons of minus 6" riprap for bluegill nesting areas. Place 20 tons of boulders for shoreline points adjacent to spawning areas. Place 60 tons of washed river gravel as aesthetic cover and bank armor in areas adjacent to shoreline heavy foot traffic areas. Reseed with a multi-species grass mix the spoil area of silt so it will not re-mobilize in the misfortune of a high water event. Reintroduce fish species assemblage. Targeted species include rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, wiper and channel catfish.

Project Narrative
This project was successful due to the cooperation between partners. The marriage of work force and professional expertise created a synergistic atmosphere where everything that was wanted/needed came together seamlessly. Park visitation has jumped and visitor satisfaction is at an all time high. This will be a tremendous amenity to Weber County Parks and Recreation Department and a wonderful recruitment and retention tool for DWR.
