Final Methods
Final Methods of this project was changed from a two-way "Ely Chaining to a Bullhog Mastication project. Decision was made cooperatively with the BLM and SITLA as we felt the size of the trees along with the debris that would be left on the ground would still be a constant fire concern in this area. The over abundance of rocks in this area was also a concern for the BLM as they where going to implement the project in house. This project was implemented by Kolob Mtn Construction, with the use of up to three (3) Bullhog Mastication machines working at one time. Seed was flown on prior to implementation of the project by Hammond Helicopters at 15.9 lbs per acre, access was good for most of the fall and winter months.

Project Narrative
This project was a great project to have funded and implemented, we had great partners that included several Conservation Sportsman Groups, to the BLM, UDWR, and SITLA. Project will create additional forage for wintering mule deer and elk along with wild turkeys. This project worked great as it opens up additional treatment acres to the south of an existing BLM treatment in the area. Project will allow for livestock forage as well as the permittee works with SITLA on a rotational grazing plan. Over the course of treating this project we had several hunters looking for mule deer and elk during the hunting seasons. Project was a great success and lots of great partners contributed to that success, look forward to establishment of the grasses, forbs and shrubs in the coming months.

Future Management
Future Management of this project will be working with BLM and SITLA to determine the establishment of grasses, forbs and shrubs within the treatment, we will deffer grazing from livestock for two growing within this treatment area as well. Once establishment of reseeded grasses, forbs and shrubs are established grazing will be monitored and grazed on a rest rotation pasture system with the grazing permittees. Other monitoring will be for the use of wildlife populations in the area, this wood include post season classification of mule deer, and elk through aerial flights or pickup truck by the area Wildlife Biologist.
